Surrendering Weed: A Stepping Stone to My Healing

I used to think weed was helping me with everything from my creativity, to my chronic pain, to my spiritual growth.

Yet nothing in my life was ever TRULY getting better.

Not my career. Not my relationships. Not my health. Not my passion. Not my purpose.

NOTHING.

After 10 years of almost daily use, I finally surrendered to the fact that I’d had it all wrong– that I'd been using weed to numb and run from what needed to be healed within myself, and that weed was NOT what was going to heal it.

I was even able to admit to myself that I knew this deep down all along– I'd just been so scared to let it go that I spent years finding ways to justify it!

For me, it took around 12 weeks from when I set the intention to phase all forms of weed – THC and CBD – out of my life to when I completely eradicated any and all desire to use.

During that time, I had started doing inner child healing, went plant-based, started juicing, optimized my supplements, and began daily coffee enemas.

With a detoxed body and a clearer mind, I was then more receptive to going deeper into my spiritual healing so I could get to the root of WHY I’d been using weed for 10 years straight in the first place – the sexual abuse I had experienced as a child – and begin healing that, as well.

Mind. Body. Spirit.

All three were needed to fully eradicate my addiction (another thing I had to admit to myself), and I can honestly say that quitting weed was one of the best choices I've ever made.

I truly believe it would be for you, too, and that once you experience what it feels like to live inside a healthy body WITHOUT weed, you’ll never want to go back.

The best part is that you can heal whatever had you turning to weed in the first place! Whether you began using it to treat PMS, C-PTSD, or even boredom and loneliness, with the right knowledge and support, you can heal just about anything.

Now, you may be wondering why I removed CBD, too.

I used to tell myself "CBD could work instead! It’ll relax me, ease the pain, and help me focus, all without the high!”

Yet the end of the day, CBD is often used as yet ANOTHER bandaid without getting to the root cause of what has us turning to weed in the first place. We're still seeking a way to cope instead of heal.

But rather than replace THC with CBD, why not try TRULY healing instead?

Why not try detoxing your body from all the years spent using weed? And heal the reason you reached for the joint/the bowl/the edible in the first place?

So this way, instead of merely getting by, you can actually THRIVE!

Instead of THC or CBD, you can flood your cells with fresh, organic juice full of nutrients your body actually needs!

You can eat cleaner and try a plant-based diet that’s full of LIFE.

You can reverse any vitamin and mineral deficiencies you may have.

You can actually HEAL the pain – physical, mental, emotional – that made weed so tempting in the first place.

Because try as the weed industry might, there’s NO single plant that can do or solve it ALL.

This is GOOD news. This means there’s OPTIONS. There’s hope. There’s life beyond weed, the miracle plant that never truly was. Yes, it’s played a role as a plant medicine (another post for another day), but it was NEVER intended to be used regularly.

So if you’re about to light up or eat some weed of any form, and you only ever feel kinda sorta good when you’re on it, I promise you there’s a bigger, brighter, more magnificent world waiting for you that doesn’t fade away within 30-60 minutes.
